Tar has an old antiquity in Iranian music that usually is made of berry trees wood.But I made them by some other trees wood such as ash tree , acacia locust tree & apricot tree too, that have a good sound.
Its handle is made of nut trees wood & I use tibia bone on that. It’s wire is made of sheeps intestine & I use lambs skin on its belly & its bridge is made of mountain rams horn.
The best season for preparing the first level of Tars belly is Winter. At first we prepare the primary model of the first level of the Tar by the wood which is 100 Kg .At least we have to wait for three years to become dry completely. Then we cut the back and inside of Tars belly in different thickness, carefully. In next stages both sides of the belly stick to each other. The handle is placed in its place and the bone sticks on that after emerying we paint it after that it becomes dry completely, the skin, wires fixed on that. And it is ready for playing the pictures show it.
